[glow=blue,2,300]As you know, today was my second day of school. Boy was it scary! WE HAD A TORNADO WARNING! (All thanks to Tropical Storm Bonnie!) I never saw the tornado, all I know is that right when I sat down on the table in the courtyard (well, what's left of it from construction) with my friends to eat my chick-fil-a sandwich, the sky grew dark within a matter of seconds! The administrators began shouting at us to enter the arena and sit against the wall of the hallway. I was so freaked out. It must've been a small one that died out because we only had to stay in the hallway for the rest of lunch. I'm so glad. I was praying throughout the whole time, I was freaked! My first tornado experience. I'm so thankful it was just a small one. It wasn't that close to us, but the admins were afraid it would reach us. Here's a picture of some damage that a tornado did in Ridgeway, which is about 45 minutes from the school. Oh, and in case you are wondering, I'm a South Carolina girl. NEVER thought I'd experience a tornado scare.[/glow]

[glow=green,2,300]That's so crazy.
Today must be a crazy day because right now where I live, we're under a flood warning. All of the streets are flooding and I just hope that the power doesn't go out. :\
I'm glad that you're safe though. I remember when there was a tornado right behind my house, it was horrible.

[glow=blue,2,300]Really? A flood warning? Hmm. We are under a flood watch for the next couple of days, and possibly another tornado watch along with the leftovers of Bonnie, and Hurricane Charley coming up. They say Charley will reduce to a Tropical Storm by the time it reaches my area though. Let's hope and pray.[/glow]

Hey glad your alright. last month i was down in IL. at a college campus. during our first night. during orientation they were JUST about to go over the drills, when people came out saying there was a tornado warning.. it was sorta funny becuase we were in the athletic arena. so the building was huge with high ceilings. so they all rushed us into the place where they were selling things.. it was sorta funny. we all thought it was a joke to get us to where they were selling things so we could bye things. we soon found out it was no joke... Living here in Minnesota. i've experienced a lot of tornado scares.. a lot when i was youngers.. ive grown used to them which is a little scary.. haha.
ANYWAYS.. lol. Im gald everything went alright.

Speaking of tornados... Once there was a tornado warning around my house. The weatherman said that there was a small chance of a tornado actually happening, though. So I felt safe until I looked out the window. There was dust flying everywhere! I was getting ready for my house to fly away, like in the Wizard of Oz. But it stayed put and about an hour later it had all calmed down. When I went outside there was a huge tree in my backyard. It came real close to hitting my pool. We had some rock stairs, and all the dirt was washed out from under them. There was like a little river running down my yard. It was a pretty freakish experience.
