You walk into class and sit down in the seat you sat at last class and wait for class to start. The other students come filing into the room and sit down as well. Once everyone is seated Professor Shrimpy walks down the middle aisle of the class and turns to the students.
Please take out you homework and hand it in now. Late assignments are not tolerated and cannot be made up unless you have talked to me before today
You pass in your homework (if you did it) and wait for the actual lesson to begin.
Professor Shrimpy takes the homework and makes it "disapear". She then taps the board and reads it aloud as the board keeps changing with her:
Okay lets begin,
the word "Rune" is derived from "Run" (pronounced roon), and is an Anglo-Saxon word meaning "Secret" or "Mystery".
There are also many similarities in the alphabets because they did "borrow" them from each other.
This will help you later on in the lesson to understand more about the subject.
The three main types of runic alphabets are the Gemanic, the Anglo-Saxon, and the Egyptians.
Germanic Runic Alphbet-The Futhark
the original Germanic rune alphabet contained 24 letters with the first six spelling out the name of the alphabet, FURTHARK. The alphabet later was cut down to 16 letters when they spread into Scandinavia.

The Anglo-Saxon Runes-
The anglos-saxons are part of the germanic tribes. Around 400-600AD three germanic tribes (the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jutes) invaded Britian. They brought their Runes with them and once in Britain, the Anglo-Saxon Runes were expanded to as many as 32 characters
